The Old Royal Naval College, founded in 1694 as the Royal Hospital for Seamen, is a superb example of Baroque landscape. Designed by the greatest architects of the day including Wren and Hawksmoor, it is now managed by the Greenwich Foundation.
The Painted Hall, one of the finest banqueting rooms in Europe, was used for State occasions for many years. With its soaring columns and richly decorated walls and ceilings, it seats up to 450.
The Admiral's House overlooks the river and its elegant, peaceful atmosphere provides the perfect venue for dinner parties, away-days and cocktail receptions. The vaulted Queen Mary Ante Room and King William Restaurant, are excellent for conferences, receptions and dinner dances.
